Rose Garden Arena  Information

The Rose Garden Arena is located in Portland, Oregon and is home to the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers. It's modern design was made possible under the architectural guidance of Ellerbe Becket, Inc. This 20,000 seat facility is situated on more than 785,000 square feet and eight levels, five of which are open to the public. The facility operates to the general public using the 100 Level, which is the main concourse, the 300 Level, which is the upper concourse. In between, club and suite holders will find the 200 Level.

The Rose Garden Arena is a multi-purpose structure that hosts a variety of events each year. Among them, NBA and college basketball, professional hockey, gymnastics, track & field, monster truck rallies, music concerts, rodeo and bull riding, family events and circuses, ice skating shows and competitions, boxing and various trade shows and conventions.

The total seating capacity for an NBA basketball game is 19,980 with standing room for just over 20,000 spectators. More than 650 television monitors are used throughout the Rose Garden, including locations throughout the concourses, restaurants, suites, clubs and other areas.

Among the amenities at the Rose Garden Arena are the Legends Sports Bar, the Rose Room, a lounge with combination restaurant, a grill, outdoor terraces and concession stands are all located on the 200 Level concourse. If it's luxury suites that you want, an impressive wrap of seventy suites are located inside the arena. Each suite can accommodate 22 people and includes all of the conveniences that a suite can offer, including catered food, television monitors, a wet bar, private restroom and more.

The Command Center is the control room of the Rose Garden Arena. This room controls the lighting, sound, and monitoring and control of the arena. The Rose Garden Arena features something that is found in no other multi-purpose arena in the world. An 'Acoustical Cloud' is suspended above the event floor and features eight rows of 20 panels. The cloud permits customizable acoustics of the arena to correspond with the featured event or show. The cloud has both a hard and soft side. During a sporting event, the hard panel faces downward while a concert finds the soft side facing down to absorb sound. The Rose Garden Arena is a massive concrete-framed facility with a skeletal steel roof.

Fans who wish to get an up-close look may take tours, which begin every Tuesday. These one hour excursions cover the entire Rose Garden complex, which hosts the Rose Garden Arena and other facilities.
